BONAVERI Domenico Maria
(Bologna 1653 – 1731)
An Italian engraver active in Bologna between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century. He was probably a pupil of his uncle Domenico Maria Canuti, painter and engraver in Bologna.
He has translated works from Correggio, Annibale and Ludovico Carracci, Canuti, Albani, Pasinelli and other artists of the Emilia region.
He carved seventeen plates of anatomical subject for the volume ‘Notomie di Tiziano’ and performed several engravings derived from the drawings of Giovanni Francesco Barbieri called ‘Guercino’.
